Ontario Chapter
—
The Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association strives to highlight reclamation achievements in the province and also to provide avenues for networking, sharing experiences and recognition of successes.
The Ontario Chapter encourages the participation of students and young professionals to help foster the training of Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) which is reflected in the province’s membership roster. This objective is supported by the Tom Peters Memorial Mine Reclamation Student Award for graduate students.
We also recognize the mining industry and individuals who have shown outstanding achievement in the practice of mine reclamation through the Tom Peters Memorial Mine Reclamation Industry Award. Both awards are presented at the joint CLRA-OMA workshop annually and are graciously supported by Vale.
Beyond mining reclamation, the Ontario Chapter has good linkages with the aggregate community and many Ontario members represent this interest. The Ontario Chapter welcomes new members from all sectors.
