CLRA Alberta Chapter 2012 AGM and Conference
"End of Life...a New Beginning"
February 29 - March 2, 2012
Capri Hotel and Conference Centre, Red Deer Alberta

The Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA) will be holding its annual general meeting and conference at the Capri Hotel in Red Deer on February 29 to March 2nd, 2012.

As reclamation practitioners, we take on the challenges of restoring developed lands to their pre-developed state. Upon end of an asset life, the site restoration phase brings a renewal process that guides and shapes the transition of the sites physical characteristics. Through this process operators can demonstrate good land stewardship, principles of sustainability and good stakeholder relations. The specifics of how the process is designed and carried out are influenced by site features, the regulations, and technical abilities and innovativeness of reclamation practitioners.
